Mossed Teak Sphere

A 6-inch teak sphere wrapped in preserved moss. Small, dense, and sculptural — it works alone on a shelf, or grouped in a bowl with our moss balls for a mix of textures.

The Design

A solid teak core with preserved moss worked over the surface, so the grain shows through in places rather than being fully covered. Heavier and more substantial in the hand than an all-moss sphere.

Styling

On a shelf or console alone, in a bowl or tray with two or three preserved moss balls at different sizes, or as one element in a longer centerpiece arrangement. Odd numbers group better than even.

Care

• No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
• Indoor display only — preserved moss is not weatherproof and will not survive outdoors
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
• Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
• Typical display life is 5–10 years indoors

Handmade Variation

Each sphere is wrapped by hand, so moss coverage, colour, and the amount of visible teak grain vary between pieces. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Returns

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
