40" Extra Long Rectangle Paulownia Moss Bowl

A 40-inch rectangular paulownia bowl filled with preserved moss. The straight sides give it a cleaner, more architectural line than a carved oval dough bowl — it suits a modern table better.

The Design

Rectangular rather than rounded, so it sits square to the table and reads as a deliberate object. Preserved mood moss packed edge to edge and mounded gently, so the surface is one continuous run of green.

• Hand-carved paulownia wood — lightweight, with visible natural grain
• Real preserved mood moss
• Five stains: Unfinished, Black, Weathered Grey, Antique White, or Mahogany

Uses

Dining tables, kitchen islands, long consoles, offices, and event styling. At 40 inches it suits a table seating six to eight.

Care

• No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
• Indoor display only
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
• Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
• Typical display life is 8+ years indoors

Handmade Variation

Every bowl is hand-carved from solid wood, so dimensions vary slightly and each carries its own grain, tool marks, and small irregularities. Moss colour and arrangement vary too. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Returns

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
