A small bonsai built from real driftwood and preserved moss, set in a hand-cast concrete bowl. The shape of a bonsai without the pruning, watering, or the slow guilt of watching one die on a desk.
The Design
Driftwood branches form the structure, chosen for shape rather than uniformity, with preserved moss worked into the canopy and across the base. Because the driftwood is found material, every tree has a different silhouette — no two are the same, and we can't reproduce one exactly.

Uses
Desks, home offices, bookshelves, bedside tables, and reception areas. Because it needs no light, it works in windowless rooms where a living plant would fail — and it survives travel, deadlines, and forgetting.
Care
- No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
- Indoor display only
- Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture — not suitable for bathrooms or other consistently humid rooms
- Keep away from radiators, vents, and direct heat
- Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
- Typical display life is 8+ years indoors
Handmade Variation
Driftwood is found material and concrete is cast by hand, so every piece differs in shape, tone, and texture. Yours will not be identical to the photograph — that is the nature of the piece rather than a limitation of it.
Natural Scent
Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged
Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.
Returns
Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
