A 28-inch paulownia serving tray with cut-out handles, left unfinished. Light enough to carry loaded, plain enough to style however you like.

Materials & Finish

• Paulownia wood — lightweight, with open natural grain
• Unfinished, so it takes paint or stain readily if you want to change it
• Built-in handles at each end

Uses

Dining tables, coffee tables, mantels, buffets, entryway consoles, and bathroom counters. The unfinished wood is a neutral base for seasonal styling — greenery, candles in holders, ornaments, or collected objects.

It also takes a moss arrangement well if you'd like it filled — just ask.

Serving Food

This is a display piece rather than a food surface. The wood is unfinished and untreated, so use it for packaged items, or with a liner or smaller dishes on top rather than in direct contact with food.

Care

• Dust with a soft dry cloth
• Indoor use only
• Keep away from excessive moisture and direct heat
• Not waterproof — don't soak or put it in a dishwasher
• Unfinished wood marks more easily than stained — use coasters under anything wet

Handmade Variation

Paulownia is a natural material with pronounced grain, so colour and figure vary from tray to tray. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.
