Long Moss Bowl

Preserved moss set in a hand-carved paulownia dough bowl. The wood is light, the grain is open, and each bowl is carved individually — a long, low centerpiece for a dining table or console.

The Design

Moss packed edge to edge so the surface reads as one continuous run of green. The bowl is shallow, which keeps sightlines clear across a table and stops it dominating a console.

• 20" long — consoles, mantels, four-seat tables
• 30" long — six-seat dining tables, kitchen islands

• Hand-carved paulownia wood — lightweight, with visible natural grain
• Real preserved moss
• Five stains: Unfinished, Black, Grey, Antique White, or Mahogany
• Two moss options: Dark Green, or Mixed / Variated

Choosing Your Moss

Dark green is a single even colour — quieter, more architectural, and it recedes into a room. Mixed is variated across several greens with more visible texture, and reads as the more organic of the two.

Care

• No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
• Indoor display only
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
• Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
• Typical display life is 5–10 years indoors

Handmade Variation

Every bowl is hand-carved from solid wood, so dimensions vary slightly and each carries its own grain, tool marks, and small irregularities. Moss colour and arrangement vary too. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Returns

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
