Preserved moss in a round, hand-carved paulownia bowl. A single, full shape — small enough for a shelf at 10.5", or a real statement at 20". Each bowl shows its own grain.

The Design

Moss packed densely and mounded gently above the rim, so the surface reads as one continuous cushion. Round rather than linear, which suits a coffee table, a round dining table, or a surface where a long bowl would look awkward.

  • 10.5" diameter × 3" high — shelves, consoles, side tables
  • 20" diameter × 5" high — coffee tables, round dining tables

Materials & Finishes

  • Hand-carved paulownia wood — lightweight, with visible natural grain
  • Real preserved moss
  • Five stains: Unfinished, Black, Grey, Antique White, or Mahogany

Care

  • No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
  • Indoor display only
  • Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
  • Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
  • Typical display life is 5–10 years indoors

Handmade Variation

Every bowl is hand-carved from solid wood, so dimensions vary slightly and each carries its own grain, tool marks, and small irregularities. Moss colour and arrangement vary too. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
