Moss Centerpiece Dough Bowl – 40inch Preserved Woodland Rustic Table Statement Piece

A 40-inch dough bowl filled with preserved moss — wide, deep, and unapologetically the focal point of whatever table it sits on.

The Design

At 12 inches across it's considerably wider than our runner bowls, so the moss reads as a woodland floor rather than a strip of green. The teak finishes suit warmer rooms; black works where you want the moss to carry all the colour.

Choosing Your Moss

Dark green mood moss is a single even colour — quieter and more architectural. Variated mixed moss combines several greens and textures, with more depth and movement.

Uses

Long dining tables, kitchen islands, and console tables. Suits tables seating six to eight. Also works well in restaurant and tasting room settings, where it holds a long communal table.

Care

• No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
• Indoor display only
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
• Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
• Typical display life is 5–10 years indoors

Handmade Variation

Every bowl is hand-carved from solid wood, so dimensions vary slightly and each carries its own grain and small irregularities. Moss colour, density, and arrangement vary too. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Returns

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
