Moss Centerpiece — Wide Paulownia Bowl

Preserved moss in a deep, hand-carved paulownia bowl. A rounder, fuller shape than our long runner bowls — this one reads as a single object on a table rather than a line across it.

The Design

The extra depth lets the moss mound properly above the rim, so it has volume rather than sitting flat. Wider across the middle than our runner bowls, which suits a round table or a square coffee table.

Dimensions

• 18" — 18" long × 7" wide × 3" high
• 24" — 24" long × 8.5" wide × 5" high

The 24" is noticeably deeper as well as longer, so it holds considerably more moss.

• Hand-carved paulownia wood — lightweight, with visible natural grain
• Real preserved moss
• Six stains: Unfinished, Black, Dark Brown Walnut, White, Mahogany, or Grey

Uses

Coffee tables, round dining tables, kitchen islands, and entryway consoles. The fuller shape works where a long runner bowl would look too linear.

Care

• No watering, sunlight, or pruning required
• Indoor display only
• Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture
• Dust with a hairdryer on a low, cool setting
• Typical display life is 5–10 years indoors

Handmade Variation

Every bowl is hand-carved from solid wood, so dimensions vary slightly and each carries its own grain, tool marks, and small irregularities. Moss colour and arrangement vary too. Yours will not be identical to the photograph.

Natural Scent

Preserved moss carries a mild organic scent for the first days after unpacking. This is normal and fades. It is not a defect, and we don't accept returns on this basis.

If Something Arrives Damaged

Email wendy@rootsofearthco.com within 48 hours with photographs of the piece and the packaging, and keep the box. Shipments are insured and we will make it right.

Each piece is made to order, so we don't accept returns or exchanges. If anything is wrong with your order, contact us — we would always rather fix it than leave you unhappy.
